I didn’t know who John Baldessari was before watching this – a biographical portrait crammed into less than 6 minutes, narrated by Tom Waits, arguably one the best voices of the last 50 years.

This video of Brisbane from 1954 is thoroughly enjoyable – complete with cheesy narration. It makes Brisbane look like a hub of activity. Who knew our forefathers were so cultured? Onward and upward!

Eliot Rausch.

I only recently discovered the films of Eliot Rausch, a documentary filmmaker from Los Angeles. His films capture the brokenness of humanity, yet there are still glimmers of hope, a faith in something bigger. I don’t know what Rausch believes, but God is very present in his work.
